The Hockey Hall of Fame has partnered with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Hockey Canada, City of Toronto and the Lakeshore Lions in the development of a new 4-pad arena complex presently under construction in Toronto's Lakeshore West district. The $35-million facility is on-schedule to open in August/September 2009 at which time it will become the new home of the Hall's "Hockey Resource Centre & Archives" ("HRCA") (including a portion of the 18,000 sq. ft. premises dedicated to Hockey Canada's grass roots development programs).

To meet the fiscal fundraising requirements, the Hall has introduced the following two new capital and operating support campaigns targeted to individuals and businesses:

  • In partnership with the Lakeshore Lions, the "Lakeshore Lions Arena & Hockey Resource Centre Founding Patrons Program" involves a two-tier contribution benefits package including permanent recognition via the "Founding Patrons Puck Display" which will be erected in the central walkway of the new complex. Additional value-added benefits include tickets to the annual "Founding Patrons Family Skate" attended by the entire active roster of the Toronto Maple Leafs, rent-free ice usage, Hockey Hall of Fame admission passes and more. The first 250 founding patrons will also receive a Team Canada jersey autographed by Lakeshore West-Mimico native Brendan Shanahan.

  • The "HRCA Founders Committee" program is limited to ten benefactors involving a five-year $50,000 contribution in exchange for a host of exclusive Hockey Hall of Fame benefits, including special access to the annual Induction Celebration, golf outings, playoff pools, autographed memorabilia, meeting room uses and more.
Official receipts for income tax purposes applicable to the eligible portion of the respective program contributions will be issued to individuals. In addition to the aforementioned fundraising campaign, the Hall is also seeking sponsorship contributions from the assignment of HRCA naming rights to fund on-going incremental operating costs.
