Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Brad Aitken
Drafted 46th overall by Pittsburgh in 1986, Aitken played just eleven games with the Penguins and three more with the Oilers. He split his junior career evenly with Peterborough and the Soo, and in his last year scored 27 goals and looked to be a late bloomer.

But when he got to the Penguins camp in 1987 he found himself on the outside and played the year in Muskegon with the exception of a five-game callup when he managed to score a goal. With the Lumberjacks he made a name for himself as a tough guy, but even that was not enough to get him back to the parent club quickly.

Aitken continued to play, but his NHL appearance was to come almost four years later, and on March 5, 1991 he was traded to Edmonton for Kim Issel. The Oilers were the Cup champs and could use Aitken for just three games, and although the Leafs signed him in the off-season he never made it beyond the farm club. He retired in 1993.
