Defenseman Gordon Mark spent parts of four seasons with the New Jersey Devils and Edmonton Oilers in the 80s and 90s. He spent most of his career in the minors and senior leagues.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Mark was chosen 108th overall by the Devils in 1983 after he provided grit and offense to the WCJHL's Kamloops Junior Oilers. He spent two more years in Kamloops before turning pro with the Maine Mariners of the AHL in 1985-86. The next year he looked solid in 36 games as an NHL rookie with New Jersey but spent more time in the AHL the next season.

Between 1988 and 1992, Mark competed with the Stony Plain Eagles of the Alberta Senior League. He joined the Cape Breton Oilers of the AHL in 1992-93 then signed an NHL contract with Edmonton. Over the next two years, Mark played a few games in the NHL but received the majority of his ice time in Cape Breton. He battled injuries while by toiling in the minors over the next two years before retiring in 1997.
