Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Denny Felsner
Denny Felsner was a left-winger who suited up for 18 games with the St. Louis Blues in the early 1990s. His brief NHL tenure was spread out over four years while he toiled effectively in the minors.

Born in Warren, Michigan, Felsner played four years at the University of Michigan. After scoring 30 goals as a freshman in 1988-89, the gifted forward was selected 55th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the NHL Entry Draft. In 1990-91 he led the CCHA with 40 goals in 46 games and was named to the conference all-star team. Felsner scored 94 points as a senior in 1991-92 and repeated his placement on the first all-star unit. At the end of the college season he was recalled to play three contests in St. Louis.

Most of Felsner's first full pro season was spent in the IHL with the Peoria Rivermen. Injuries limited him to six games each in the NHL and minors in 1993-94. He returned in the 1994-95 season but was again chiefly a farmhand. Felsner continued to be a proficient scorer in the minors including a 30-goal season for the Chesapeake Icebreakers in 1997-98. He retired in 2000 after playing a year in the IHL with the Houston Aeros and Cincinnati Cyclones.
