Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Guy Gosselin
Defenceman Guy Gosselin played five games for the Winnipeg Jets in 1987-88. His strength was solid positional play in his own zone and discipline in all phases of the game.

Born in Rochester, Minnesota, Gosselin was drafted 159th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in 1982 after starring at John Marshall High School. This was followed by five years at the University of Minnesota-Duluth including the 1986-87 season when he was named to the WCHA second all-star team. Gosselin also represented the United States at the 1986 World Championships and played the 1987-88 season with the US national team which culminated in participation at the Calgary Olympics.

Following the Olympics Gosselin played five games for Winnipeg but was strictly an AHL farmhand over the next two seasons. He returned to international hockey with team USA at the 1990 and 1991 World Championships and also played two seasons with Skelleftea of Sweden. Gosselin retired in 1994 after signing with the San Jose Sharks and playing 19 games for the IHL's Kansas City Blades.
