Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Kevan Guy
Defenceman Kevin Guy played parts of six seasons in the NHL during the 80s and 90s. He was a solid player in his own end and could move the puck up to his forwards reasonably well.

The Edmonton native was chosen 73rd overall by the Calgary Flames in 1983 after a solid rookie season with the WHL's Medicine Hat Tigers. He returned for two more years of junior and scored 15 goals and 57 points in 1983-84. The young blueliner played well in his first pro season with the AHL's Moncton Golden Flames in 1985-86. Over the next two years he continued to see most of his ice time in the minors but was summoned to the NHL for spot duty.

In March, 1988 he joined the Vancouver Canucks in a trade and was a decent stay-at-home defender for three years. Late in the 1990-91 season he returned briefly to the Flames but his NHL days were essentially over. Guy spent most of his last four years as a pro in the minors and the Austrian League before retiring in 1995.
