Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Terry Hollinger
Defenceman Terry Hollinger played briefly with the St. Louis Blues in the mid-90s. He was an excellent passer with a hard shot from the point and a nasty disposition in his own end.

The Regina native played junior in the WHL with the hometown Pats and the Lethbridge Hurricanes. He was chosen 153rd overall by St. Louis in 1991 then returned for one last junior season where he registered 85 points. The young rearguard began his pro career with the IHL's Peoria Rivermen in 1992-93 and was a mainstay on the club for three years. He also received the occasional recall to the Blues but was unable to land a full time NHL spot.

Hollinger signed as a free agent with the Buffalo Sabres in August, 1995 and became a key member of the Rochester Americans. He solidified the team's blueline and was named to the AHL first and second all-star teams once each. In 1997 Hollinger returned to the St. Louis organization to add depth to their farm system. He spent time in the IHL then returned to the AHL with the Providence Bruins where he helped the club post a strong showing in 2000-01.
