Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Miloslav Guren
Defenceman Miloslav Guren played briefly with the Montreal Canadiens in the late 90s. A talented playmaker with good mobility, he demonstrated more confidence in the AHL where he continued to develop.

Born in Uherske Hradiste, Czechoslovakia, Guren starred with ZPS Zlin for three years. He was selected 60th overall by the Habs in 1995 and made his pro debut by scoring 32 points for the Fredericton Canadiens of the AHL in 1996-97. He was recalled occasionally to Montreal since they were ravaged by injuries but his play lacked consistency. He hoped to make a strong impression at training camp in 2001 after scoring 51 points for the Quebec Citadelles of the AHL the previous season.
