Defenceman Myles O'Connor was a fine offensive player who played briefly in the NHL during the early 90s. He enjoyed an outstanding college career and was a steady performer in the minors.

Born in Calgary, Alberta. O'Connor spent a year under Pere Murray with the Notre Dame Hounds of Wilcox, Saskatchewan. Following that season he was chosen 44th overall by the St. Louis Blues after which he accepted a scholarship with the University of Michigan. O'Connor scored 15 goals for the Wolverines in 1986-87 and was a CCHA first team all-star and NCAA west first team all-American in 1989.

The young rearguard never came to terms with the Blues and ended up signing with the New Jersey Devils. In 1989-90 he scored 47 points for the Utica Devils then was recalled for 22 games in Jersey the next season. Over the next two years he was a regular in Utica while making an occasional appearance in the NHL.

O'Connor signed as a free agent with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in July 1993 and played five games for them in their inaugural season. He then spent nearly four years in the IHL with three different team where he was a playmaker as well as a physical presence. In 1997-98 he joined the Kushiro Cranes of the Japanese league for one year before retiring.
