Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Mark Cornforth
Mark Cornforth spent four years at Merrimack College then a two game stint with the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch before signing a free agent deal with the Boston Bruins in 1995. Cornforth, who was born in Montreal, Quebec on November 13th, 1972, played his first NHL exhibition game in his hometown in the fabled Forum. Though he didn't make the team out of camp and spent most of the 1995-96 season in the minors with Providence, he did get a call up to the NHL for some regular-season action. When the call up came his debut again saw him play against the Canadiens. Cornforth spent six games with the Bruins and was unable to register a point, though the defenseman was a plus-four in that time.

Cornforth spent the next four years exclusively in the minors, splitting his time between the American Hockey League and the International Hockey League.

After playing just two games in the 1999-00 season, Cornforth retired from hockey
