Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Dan Trebil
During the past five seasons, defenceman Daniel Trebil has been a useful role player on three different teams. He was a solid positional player who could jump into the rush on occasion.

Born in Edina, Minnesota, Trebil was chosen 138th overall by the New Jersey Devils after starring with Jefferson High School in 1991-92. He then spent four years at the University of Minnesota where he was named to the WCHA second all-star team and the NCAA west second all-American team.

In May 1996, Trebil signed as a free agent with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. He was a part-time player for three years and also toiled extensively in the AHL with the Baltimore Bandits and Cincinnati Ducks. In March 2000, he was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins where he played 19 games over two years before he was sent to the St. Louis Blues for Marc Bergevin.
