Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Brian Tutt
Brian Tutt enjoyed a long, nomadic career that saw him play professionally in six different countries, represent Canada in Olympics and World Championships, and score a goal in the NHL.

Tutt's career began near his hometown of Calgary, Alberta when he played Junior with the Calgary Wranglers. As a Philadelphia Flyer draft pick his professional career began in Maine but his days of packing and unpacking suitcases would soon start. In his first three seasons as a pro he played with five different teams. He would add two more teams to his resume as well as a stint with Canada's National Team before he's get his NHL chance though.

With his first contract expired, Tutt signed on with the Washington Capitals in 1989. The defenseman got his chance during the 1989-90 campaign when the Capitals put him into their line up for seven games. Tutt directed five shots on net and managed to score one goal during his short stay in the big leagues.

The following year he split his time between the National program and a club team in Norway. In 1991-92 Tutt's time with Team Canada included the Olympic Games and the World Championships. In 1992-93 he signed on to play in Finland, which was followed by a season in Sweden the next year which eventually led to a five year stay in the German league which concluded in 2000. Tutt returned to Canada to play his final season in 2000. The defenseman signed on with the Huntsville Tornado, the sixteenth club of his professional career, and played out his career.
