Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- John Adams
Not to be confused with the Hall of Famer and Detroit coach, this Jack Adams played only one full season in the NHL, with the Habs, who had acquired his rights from Vancouver of the PCHL.

Adams played most of 1940-41 with les Canadiens and scored six goals in a year the team was uncharacteristically and summarily eliminated from the playoffs in the first round against Chicago. He then left hockey and joined the army that summer, staying in the military until 1945 and playing some hockey during that time.

When he was discharged four years later, he was traded by the Canadiens to Buffalo with Moe White for Murdo MacKay and never made it back to the NHL. He finished his career where it began, out West in the PCHL, with New Westminster, retiring in 1949.
