Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Stew Adams
A seven-year veteran of junior hockey in Calgary and minor pro with the Minneapolis Millers, Adams was acquired by the Chicago Blackhawks during the 1929-30 season and played most of the next three years in the Windy City.

Early in the 1932-33 season, he was sold to Toronto and sent to the team's minor-league affiliate in Syracuse. Adams saw his first action as a Maple Leaf on December 29, 1932, replacing the injured Charlie Conacher on the "Kid Line". He was given a warm ovation by the Gardens crowd after one fine rush, but during his 19 games with the team had but two assists.

As a junior in Calgary, Adams played in three Memorial Cups in four years, losing each time and then turned pro with Minneapolis in 1925 where he stayed for four and a half years.

His career ended as a perfect reflection as it began; from Toronto he went back to Minneapolis, then Calgary, where he retired in 1936.
