Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Jeff Bandura
Jeff Bandura was injured shortly after being drafted into the NHL. He missed part of the 1977-78 season with a fractured collarbone and torn rib cartilage after being chosen 22nd overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1977 amateur draft.

He recovered and was awarded the Bob Gassoff Trophy as the most improved defenceman in the CHL for his solid play with the Dallas Black Hawks. His brief foray into the NHL lasted two games, both in the 1980-81 season with the New York Rangers, the team that had acquired him with Jere Gillis for Mario Marois and Jim Mayer on November 11, 1980. He finished the season in the minors and then retired.
