Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Mickey Blake
In 1932-33, 20-year-old Mickey Blake was a winger with the Windsor Bulldogs of the IHL. He was primarily known for his defensive prowess, but occasionally would chip in with the odd goal here and there. In that same year he was called up to play one game with the NHL's Montreal Maroons.

After a year in the Can-Am league with Quebec, Blake got his second chance at the NHL when he was obtained by the St. Louis Eagles. In eight games he had a goal and an assist to account for his entire NHL totals for points, although he did dress for one more game in the big league with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1935-36.

Blake played another seven seasons in the minors and finished out his playing days with the Kingston Frontenacs in 1942-43.
