Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Patsy Callighen
Callighen's luck in junior could not have been worse. He played in three successive Memorial Cups back in its earliest days 1924, 25, and 26 but lost each year. The Owen Sound Greys won the Cup in 1924 and 1927, and Callighen played for the Greys in-between. In 1924, he played for Toronto when the Greys won.

After leaving junior, Callighen played most of the next seven years in the Can-Am league, though he was signed by the Rangers and played most of 1927-28 with the Blueshirts during the team's first Stanley Cup. It was to be his only season of NHL hockey.

Callighen later played in the IHL for a number of years and retired in 1936.
