Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Al Cameron
Cameron played his junior hockey with New Westminster during a time when the team was renowned for its Broad Street Bullies roughness. He missed the team's Memorial Cup wins, though, making it to the finals in 1975, his final year, though the Bruins were to win consecutive junior crowns in 1977 and 1978.

In 1975, he was drafted a respectable 37th overall by Detroit and made the team that fall as a 20-year-old. He split the season with the farm team in Kalamazoo, but the next season he played full;-time and had a disastrous -43 rating on a bad Red Wings team. After one more year, he spent most of 1978-79 in the minors, and that summer Detroit left him exposed in the Expansion Draft.

The Winnipeg Jets prior to the team's first year in the NHL claimed Cameron, but he played only a year and a half in Winnipeg before retiring.
