Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Don Campbell
Campbell played junior near home, in Portage La Prairie, and won the Memorial Cup in his first season, 1941-42.

Two years later, he made his way to Chicago for the 1943-44 season, but like so many players of the time, his enlistment into the army spelled the end of his NHL career.

After being discharged, he played in the Pacific Coast league for a number of years, finishing with the Kimberley Dynamiters, the team that had brought glory to Canada many years earlier by winning the 1937 World Championships.
