Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- George Carroll
A lifelong resident of Moncton, Carroll played virtually all his amateur and semi-pro hockey in that city. The lone exception as the 1924-25 season when he played for two teams in the NHL.

Carroll signed with the Montreal Maroons near the start of the season, but after only five games (no points), he was sent to Boston for Ernie Parkes. For the Bruins, he played in eleven games (again no points) and was then released. Although the Maroons re-signed him, Carroll returned to Moncton to play. A year later, he exchanged his equipment for a blackboard and a whistle and turned to coaching.
