Two years in the Western Hockey League with the Calgary Wranglers led to a for year stay with the University of Alberta for Edmonton native Colin Chisholm. Born on February 25th, 1963, the next stop for the defenseman was the National Hockey League.
Chisholm signed a free agent contract with the Minnesota North Stars and during his first pro season, spent almost exclusively with the American Hockey League's Springfield Indians, Chisholm had a one-game audition with the North Stars. Chisholm didn't get on the scoresheet, and his NHL time was over.
He played one more season of professional hockey, however, suiting up for the International Hockey League's Kalamazoo Wings for 44 games in 1987-88.
