Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Rejean Cloutier
Windsor, Quebec native Rejean Cloutier signed a free agent contract with the Detroit Red Wings following his second season of junior hockey with the Sherbrooke Castors and joined Detroit during his third season of major junior.

Cloutier, a defenseman born on February 15th, 1960, suited up for three games with the Red Wings during the 1979-80 campaign. Cloutier was able to register one assist during his time in the Motor City. The rest of his season was spent back in Sherbrooke completing his junior hockey career.

After apprenticing for a year in the American Hockey League, Cloutier was back with the Wings in 1981-82, this time playing two games and again managing an assist.

Four full seasons would pass with Cloutier exclusively in the minors before he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers on October 17th 1986. However the change of scenery would not change Cloutier's luck and he never made it back to the NHL. Cloutier retired following the 1988-89 season, a year he spent playing in France.
