Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Jacques Deslauriers
Defenceman Jacques Deslauriers played two games for the Montreal Canadiens in 1955-56. He was a fine puck handler who enjoyed most of his success as a senior player in Quebec.

The Montreal native played junior with the Laval Nationale before turning pro with the USHL's Dallas Texans in 1948-49. After spending the next season with the AHL's Cincinnati Mohawks, Deslauriers settled in with the senior Valleyfield Braves for the next five seasons.

In 1955-56, Deslauriers signed on with the Montreal Royals and received a two game recall to the Habs as a injury replacement. He returned to the Royals where he starred before retiring in 1960. Between 1956 and 1959, the steady backliner was named to the QHL first all-star team three times and the second squad once.
