Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Edward Diachuk
Left-winger Ed Diachuk played 12 games for the Detroit Red Wings in 1960-61. He was a decent two-way grinder who enjoyed a fine minor pro career, especially in the WHL.

Born in Vegreville, Alberta Diachuk played junior with the Edmonton Oil Kings. He then spent parts of five seasons in the WHL with the Edmonton Flyers and played 39 contests for the senior Penticton Vees in 1957-58. Diachuk went up and down his wing efficiently during his 12-game stint with Detroit but the club had Vic Stasiuk, Al Johnson and Val Fonteyne on the port side. He returned to the WHL and suited up for three clubs and also played half a season with the EPHL's Sudbury Wolves before retiring in 1963.
