Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Luc Dufour
Left-winger Luc Dufour spent parts of three years in the NHL during the 80s. He was a decent goal scorer who enjoyed his greatest success in the minors and Europe.

Born in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Dufour scored 96 goals in two years with the home town Sagueneens of the QMJHL. He was chosen 35th overall by the Boston Bruins in 1981 and scored 14 goals as a rookie in 1982-83. Dufour formed a solid line with Tom Fergus and Bruce Crowder and helped the club reach the semifinals.

By the 1983-84 season, Dufour split the year between the NHL and the minors. Early in the 1984-85 season he was traded to the Quebec Nordiques for Louis Sleigher and played 30 games for his new club. Before the end of the season he was sent to the St. Louis Blues where he was a utility player in 23 games. After spending a year in the AHL, Dufour played for HC Auronzo of Italy in 1986-87 before retiring.
