Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Ted Fauss
Defenceman Ted Fauss played 28 games in parts of two seasons for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1980s. His game was based on staying in position and using his decent size to take the body.

Born in Clark Mills, New York, Fauss played four years at Clarkson University. Following his senior year in 1983, he was signed as a free agent by the Montreal Canadiens. He spent two years developing in the AHL before sitting out the 1985-86 season.

The rugged blueliner returned to the game in July 1986 after signing as a free agent with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He suited up briefly for the Leafs over the next two seasons while playing a major role on the defence of the AHL's Newmarkey Saints. After spending the 1988-89 season with the Binghamton Whalers, Fauss retired. After four years away from the game he returned in 1993 and played a little over a season in the Colonial League with the Utica Bulldogs before retiring for good.
