Defenceman Todd Flichel was a solid minor leaguer who was recalled three times by the Winnipeg Jets in the late 1980s. He was known for playing a physical game in his own end while be fairly competent when handling the puck.

The native of Osgoode, Ontario first caught the eye of NHL scouts while playing for the junior B Gloucester Rangers. He was chosen 176th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft then played four years at Bowling Green University. Flichel spent four years in the Jets' organization where he was called up to play six games. The rest of his time was spent on the blueline of the AHL's Moncton Hawks.

Flichel spent the 1991-92 season with the Fort Wayne Komets of the IHL. He played in both the AHL and the "I" during his last two years before retiring in 1994.
