Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Rob Flockhart
Left-winger Rob Flockhart was a prolific scorer in junior and the minors but only saw limited action in the NHL. In all, he played 55 games with the Vancouver Canucks and Minnesota North Stars between 1976 and 1981.

Born in Sicamous, British Columbia, Flockhart played a year of Tier II with the The Pas Blue Devils then spent three years with the WHL's Kamloops Chiefs. After a 51-goal season for Kamloops in 1975-76 he was selected 44th overall in 1976 by the Vancouver Canucks.

During his three years with the Canucks, Flockhart skated for the most part with the CHL's Tulsa Oilers and Dallas Black Hawks. He saw most of his NHL ice time in 1977-78 when he played 24 games. In October 1979, Flockhart signed as a free agent with the Minnesota North Stars then scored 31 goals for the Oklahoma City Stars in the CHL. He was recalled to Minnesota for ten games and scored a goal in one post-season game as the Stars reached the semi-finals.

Other than a two game stint in 1980-81, Flockhart played most of his last five pro seasons in the minors. He was a consistent offensive threat and scored 33 goals for both the Oklahoma City Star in 1980-81 as well as the IHL's Toledo Goldiggers in 1983-84. Flockhart retired after only making it into 16 games in 1984-85 season due to injuries.
