Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Brad Gassoff
Left-winger Brad Gassoff was a utility player for parts of four seasons with the Vancouver Canucks in the 70s. He was a decent two-way performer in the NHL but was a productive offensive force in junior in the minors. He was the younger brother of rugged defenceman Bob Gassoff.

Born in Quesnel, BC, Gassoff was a junior standout with the WCJHL's Medicine Hat Tigers and Kamloops Chiefs. He was taken 28th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in 1975 after scoring 50 goals in 69 games for Kamloops. He spent most of his first pro season with the Tulsa Oilers of the CHL and notched 36 goals. Gassoff was presented the Ken McKenzie trophy as the league's top rookie and named to the CHL second all-star team. He then split the next three seasons between Vancouver and the minors but never established himself in the NHL on a full time basis. He retired in 1980 after recording 62 points for the CHL's Dallas Black Hawks.
