Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Peter Hayek
Defenceman Peter Hayek played one game for the Minnesota North Stars in 1981-82. He was a decent playmaker who could taken the body in his own zone during a relatively short career that took place chiefly in the minors.

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Hayek spent a year at the University of Minnesota before making his pro debut with the Baltimore Clippers during the 1980 EHL playoffs. After splitting the 1980-81 season between the Clippers and the Oklahoma City Stars of the CHL, the young blueliner signed as a free agent with Minnesota. He ended up spending most of his time with the club's CHL affiliates in Nashville and Birmingham before retiring in 1983.
