Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Lionel Heinrich
Lionel Heinrich was a left-winger who spent most of the 1955-56 season with the Boston Bruins. He spent most of his time playing senior hockey in Saskatchewan and also toiled briefly in the minors.

Born in Churchbridge, Saskatchewan, Heinrich was a junior standout with the Humboldt Indians. During his inaugural pro season in 1954-55 he recorded 23 points and played solid defence for the Hershey Bears of the AHL. Heinrich was a solid utility player for Boston but was unable to gain a permanent place on the roster. He spent a year each with the WHL's Victoria Cougars and the OHA senior Windsor Bulldogs before returning to his native province. Heinrich retired in 1962 after playing three years for the Regina Capitals of the Saskatchewan senior circuit.
