Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Dan Hinton
Left-winger Dan Hinton played 14 games for the Chicago Black Hawks in 1976-77. He was a decent offensive producer who played a gritty style all over the ice.

Born in Toronto, Hinton was a fine junior with the Kitchener Rangers and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. During his rookie pro season he scored 11 goals and helped the Dallas Black Hawks win the Central League championship. He followed this up with consecutive 20-goal seasons before receiving a brief summons to the Windy City.

After his 14-game NHL stint, Hinton played two more years in Dallas and helped the club to a third place finish in 1977-78. The next year he joined the New Brunswick Hawks of the AHL and scored 21 goals for the team before retiring.
