Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Lex Hudson
Defenceman Lex Hudson played a couple of games for the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1978-79. He was steady positional player who could also make intelligent passes out of his own zone. Most of his career was spent in college and the minor leagues.

The Winnipeg native was chosen 196th overall by the Pens in 1975 after a solid freshman year at the University of Denver. He returned for three more years of college and was named to the WCHA second all-star team in 1978. In addition to his two NHL appearances in 1978-79, Hudson registered 35 points on the IHL's Grand Rapids Owls and helped the club finish at the top of the regular season standings. He retired the next season after splitting his time between the Cincinnati Stingers of the CHL and Grand Rapids.
