Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Ernest Kenny
Ernest "Eddie" Kenny was an imposing 6'2" defenceman in the 1920s and 1930s. He skated briefly with the New York Rangers and Chicago Black Hawks but was best known as a solid minor pro player.

The native of Vermillion, Alberta played with the senior Edmonton Elks in 1927-28 then moved up to the Victoria Cubs of the NWHL and PCHL. Kenny also toiled for the Detroit Olympics of the IAHL and the PCHL's Tacoma Tigers before spending six games with the New York Rangers in 1930-31.

Kenny returned to senior hockey and the minors for three years before suiting up for four games with the 1934-35 edition of the Chicago Black Hawks. He spent his last five and a half years in the IAHL with London and Windsor and the PCHL franchises in Oakland, Spokane, and Seattle before leaving the game in 1940.
