Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Michel Lachance
Defenceman Michel Lachance played 21 games for the Colorado Rockies in 1978-79. He was a fine playmaker who could also play abrasively in his own end during a career spent mostly in the minors.

Born in Quebec City, Quebec Lachance was chosen 106th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 1975. He sat out a season then split his first year as a pro between the EHL's Greensboro Generals and the Baltimore Clippers of the AHL in 1976-77. The next year Lachance scored 19 goals for the Milwaukee Admirals and won the Governor's Trophy as the top defenceman in the IHL.

Prior to the 1978-79 season Lachance signed with Colorado as a free agent and recorded four assists in 21 games in his only NHL stint. He was returned to the minors and played in the AHL and CHL before joining the Caen team in France for the 1980-81 season before retiring.
