Left-winger Leo Lafrance played parts of two seasons with the Montreal Canadiens and Chicago Black Hawks in the late 20s. He was a decent goal scorer who was better known in the AHA.

Born in Allomette, Quebec, Lafrance played his amateur hockey with the NOHA's Sudbury Wolves and Iroquois Falls Flyers. After a couple of years of minor pro hockey with the Duluth Hornets, Lafrance played four games with Montreal in 1926-27. The rest of the year he spent with Duluth and notched 12 goals in 37 games.

After playing decently in 15 games for the Canadiens in 1927-28, Lafrance was loaned to the Hawks for cash. He played 14 games for the club then returned to the minors for several years before retiring in 1936. The classy forward's best year was 1930-31 when he scored 27 goals for the AHA's Tulsa Oilers.
