Left-winger Roger Lafreniere played parts of two seasons for the Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues. He was chiefly a minor leaguer who was proficient and digging the puck out of the corners and setting up his linemates.
The Montreal native played junior with the OHA's Hamiltin Red Wings. He played three games for Detroit as a rookie pro in 1962-63 then settled into the minors for the next decade. Over this span he played his best hockey for the Buffalo Bisons of the AHL and the WHL's Denver Spurs.
In 1972-73, the veteran forward returned to the NHL for ten games. He then played a couple more years in the WHL and one season with the Roanoke Valley Rebels of the Southern League before retiring in 1975.
