Defenceman Benjamin LaPrairie played seven games for the Chicago Black Hawks in 1936-37. He was a solid positional player who also played in the AHA during his relatively short career.

Born in Hibbing, Minnesota LaPrairie played senior hockey with Chicago Baby Ruth before joining the Kansas City Greyhounds of the AHA in 1935-36. He retired in 1937 after playing a few NHL games as an injury replacement for the Hawks and toiling briefly with the Minneapolis Millers.
