Center Shane MacEachern played one game for the St. Louis Blues in 1987-88. Most of his success came in junior, Great Britain and senior hockey circles.
Born in Charlottetown, PEI, MacEachern split his junior career between the Verdun Junior Canadiens and the Hull Olympiques. He signed with the St. Louis Blues as a free agent in September 1986 then returned for one last junior season and fired 44 goals for Hull.
During his rookie pro season the young pivot played one game in St. Louis and spent the rest of the year with the IHL's Peoria Rivermen. After one more year in the "I", MacEachern played with the Swindon Wildcats of Britain and the senior Charlottetown Wildcats before sitting out the 1991-92 season. He returned and played one year each with the Peterborough Pirates of the British League and the Colonial League's Brantford Smoke before retiring in 1994.
