Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Gary Marsh
Left-winger Gary Marsh played briefly with the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs in the late 60s. He was best known as a reliable playmaker and checker in junior, the minors and senior hockey circles.

The Toronto native played junior B with the Etobicoke Indians and was a solid performer on the OHA's Hamilton Red Wings for four seasons. Detroit sent him to the CHL's Memphis Wings where he scored 16 goals as a rookie pro in 1966-67. The next year he notched four points in six games for Detroit and was a 25-goal scorer in the CHL with the Fort Worth Wings.

Prior to the 1968-69 season, the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Intra-League Draft claimed Marsh. He only made it into one NHL game for his new club then spent most of the next three years in the minors. A trade to the LA Kings in 1970 only resulted in a change from the CHL to the AHL. In 1971-72 Marsh began a successful three year association with the Orillia Terriers of the OHA senior A circuit before retiring.
