Center Jack Martin played one game for the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1960-61. Although his NHL tenure was short, he was a top point producer in junior and the minors.
Born in St. Catharines, Ontario, Martin played junior hockey with the St. Michael's Majors and Toronto Marlboros. Late in the 1959-60 season he began his pro career in the EPHL playoffs with the Sudbury Wolves. The next season he was a regular with the Wolves and was recalled once to the Maple Leafs.
Before retiring in 1965, Martin enjoyed three excellent seasons in the Eastern League. He accumulated 118 goals over this span and helped the Charlotte Checkers and Knoxville Knights go deep into the EHL playoffs.
