.The highscoring winger was born in Ottawa, Ontario November 3, 1910. While attending Montreal's McGill University, Jack played for their hockey team and led the Montreal Senior Hockey League in goals scored with 6 in 1930-31, and was the league's scoring champion in 1932-33 with 18 points in 12 games. Signed as a free agent by the Montreal Canadiens, McGill joined the NHL club in 1934-35. During his three NHL seasons, all with the Canadiens, he scored 27 goals, 10 assists and 37 points.
