Frank Peters was born June 5, 1905 in Rouses Point, N.Y. A graduate of the Edmonton Junior Hockey League's Edmonton Yoemen, Peters joined the Alberta Senior Hockey League's Crowsnest Monarchs in 1923-24 before heading to the United States the following season.

The Rouses Point, N.Y native was back in his homeland in 1924-25 as a member of the United States Amateur Hockey Association's Boston Maples. A stay at home defenceman, Peters joined the Central Hockey League's Eveleth-Hibbing Rangers in 1925-26 and spent two seasons with the Rangers before landing in the Canadian-American Hockey League with the Philadelphia Arrows.

Even though he spent the majority of the season with the Arrows, Peters played in a handful of games with the Canadian Professional Hockey League's Windsor Hornets before returning for two more seasons with the Arrows.

Following the 1929-30 season, Philadelphia traded Peters to the New York Rangers where he played in 43 games during the 1930-31 season before joining the International Hockey League's Detroit Olympics in 1931-32.

Peters spent only one season with the Olympics before the Rangers traded him back to Philadelphia where he spent the last two years of his playing career.

Throughout his NHL career, Frank Peters played in 47 games.
