Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Tom Price
The Ottawa 67's from 1972 to 1974. He received a very modest vote of confidence in his future when he found himself as the 5th choice of the struggling California Golden Seals in the Tom Price was an above-average junior blueliner who skated for the London Knights and 1974 Amateur Draft.

He turned pro in 1974-75 and embarked on a career as a journeyman minor-leaguer who would get an occasional call over the years to fill the odd temporary spot on a roster at the NHL level. The problem for Price was that all of the teams that requested his services were struggling near the bottom of the league's standings.

Between 1974 and 1979, he appeared in a total of 29 NHL contests on behalf of the Seals, Barons and Penguins. Otherwise, the bulk of his time was spent in the service of such clubs as the Salt Lake City Golden Eagles, Grand Rapids Owls, Binghamton Dusters, Springfield Indians, Syracuse Firebirds, Saginaw Gears and, his final destination, the New Haven Nighthawks, where he retired from professional hockey in 1985-86.
