Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Dave Salvian
Right-winger Dave Salvian dressed for one playoff game with the New York Islanders in 1976-77. He was a talented goal scorer who enjoyed most of his success in junior and the minors.

Born in Toronto, Salvian was chosen 29th overall by the Isles after scoring 44 goals for the OHA's St. Catharines Black Hawks in 1974-75 and being named to the league's second all-star team.

In 1975-76 he enjoyed a fine rookie year as a pro by notching 38 goals for the Fort Worth Texans of the CHL. Apart from the one game emergency recall to the NHL in 1977, he was a effective player in the minors before announcing his retirement after the 1979-80 season.
