After two years with the Moose Jaw Canucks Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan's Glen Smith joined the Milwaukee Seagulls in 1950. That season he also had a very brief stay in the Windy City where he played the only games of his NHL career.

Smith, who was born on March 19, 1931 played just two games for the Chicago Black Hawks and was unable to register a point.

After his short NHL career, Smith returned to minor pro where the right-winger spent the next two years with the Nelson Maple Leafs. In 1953 he returned to Moose Jaw and played a season of Senior hockey there then joined the Fort Wayne Comets for his final season of hockey. After playing 24 games in Fort Wayne, Glen Smith retired from hockey.
