Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Jack Tomson
After four years in Regina honing his game, defenseman Jack Thomson made his NHL debut during the 1939 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Thomson has split that season between the Seattle Seahawks of the Pacific Coast League and the American Hockey League's Philadelphia Ramblers before being summoned by the New York Americans for two playoff contests. The following year Tomson made his regular season debut when he suited up for 12 games and chipped in a goal and an assist. The next season, 1940-41, Tomson suited up for this last contests when he was held scoreless in three matches for the Americans.

Tomson played for three more seasons in Regina and Victoria before Military Service interrupted his career in 1944. After a year away from the ice he returned to the game with the New Westminster Royals, who he spent the next three seasons with. In 1948 he moved on the Seattle Ironmen then after one year was on the move for the final time when he joined the Kerrisdale Monarchs in 1949. Tomson played 24 games and contributed 13 points in his final season as a hockey player.
