This product of the Moscow hockey system first played for the Dynamo’s second team when he was 15 years old. Four years later he was on Russia's national squad at the 1995 world junior championships winning a silver medal.

He was originally drafted by Winnipeg in 1993 but was traded to Los Angeles in 1994 for Brent Thompson. He played just two games with the Kings in 1995-96, spneding the majority of the year with the Phoenix Roadrunners. He later played elsewhere in the minors but was never called up again to the NHL and he wound up signing with a team in Achorage, Alaska in the WCHL in the fall of 1999.
