Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Gary Laskoski
Netminder Gary Laskowski spent a couple of years with the LA Kings in the early 80s. Injuries limited him to two years as a pro after a fine amateur career.

Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Laskowski played 74 games in four seasons at St. Lawrence University. He signed as a free agent with the Kings in October, 1982. The young netminder was thrust into the starting role when Mario Lessard, Doug Keans, and Mike Blake faltered. He posted a respectable 15-20-4 record on the defensively weak club but was unable to lead them into the post-season.

In 1983-84, Laskowski played 13 games while backing up an improved Blake and Marco Baron. He was eventually sent down to the AHL's New Haven Nighthawks where he played 22 games before retiring.
