Goalie Don Sylvestri played three games for the Boston Bruins in 1984-85. He was a top amateur performer whose pro career was relatively brief.

Born in Sudbury, Ontario, Sylvestri played with the OHA's Oshawa Generals in 1979-80 then spent four years at Clarkson University in New York State. He recorded consecutive 22-win seasons in college and was named to the ECAC first all-star team in 1981. That summer he was chosen 182nd overall by the Bruins then returned to finish his amateur career.

Sylvestri only played one season of pro hockey. In addition to his three game stint in the NHL which produced two ties, he played for the IHL's Indianapolis Checkers and the Pinebridge Bucks of the ACHL before retiring.
